Epson NX100 All In One Printer Review
by Barbara R. Morgan
The Epson NX100 All-in-One printer inkjet printer is great for light to moderate home use. I bought it at Walmart about 4 years ago and I've been using it since. The compact design makes it easy to fit in small desk areas without a lot of room for a bulky printer.
It takes about 15 minutes to set up with the installation cd included in the box. You also must install Epson Scan on a separate included cd to use the one button scan feature.
This Epson NX100 printer also comes with a third cd, Epson Easy Photo Print, that installs a program to help the user in editing and printing photos. The ease of operation of this printer is amazing. All you do is just press one button to make color or black and white copies or to scan.
It prints pretty quickly too, up to 26 black and white or 14 color sheets per minute. Photos take longer to print and it does tend to use a lot of ink for them. The print quality is good for printing documents, coupons, invitations, etc.
One of the things I like most about the Epson NX100 printer is that it uses four different ink cartridges, black, yellow, cyan and magenta. The cartridges are much cheaper to buy seperately, about $12.50 for black ink and $10 for color ink. It seems that one or two cartridges always run out quicker than others and it definitely saves money over having to replace one multi-color ink cartridge when it really isn't empty.
This Epson printer can print on multiple sizes of paper, including 8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 14", A4, A6 and half letter. You can also customize your paper size, 3.5 " to 44" in length, in the setting. The only two downfalls I found when using this print are that it is noisy to operate and the paper has a tendency to jam if you put more than ten or fifteen sheets in the paper feed.
