Brother MFC-255CW Multifunction Printer Review

I currently have a Brother MFC-255CW printer and it has been a good machine for our small home and office use. We purchased it from Office Depot about 2 years ago. The directions can be a bit overwhelming if trying to set up on a wireless network, but I have never had any issue where I could not call the support line and be talking to someone who could walk me right through quickly.
The MFC-255CW is an all in one so we can scan, fax, copy or print all from this one small machine. It takes up very little office space and is whisper quite when printing. Brother ink cartridges for it run in the $20 dollar range and we go through one of each black and color about once every other month depending on our needs.
It does use a lot more for printing pictures but we seldom use it for that feature. It does provide crystal clear images and even prints nice photos on standard office paper. Paper is a snap to replace with the handy slide out paper tray that loads by easily pulling it out, adding new paper and sliding back into place.
Overall I have been very happy with the Brother MFC-255CW inkjet and it has preformed much better than much more expensive printers we have owned. We got a great deal on it at Office Depot and paid around $85. My only real complaint I have had with the printer is how complicated it can be for a novice to set it up on a wireless network.
I read page upon page in the instruction manual and still ended up having to go to support to get the MFC-255CW to work wirelessly. The instruction manual is completely confusing and, in my opinion takes away from an otherwise truly great product.
Do not expect the customer support agent to speak fluent English either, but I have called support about 3 times now and each time my call was answered promptly and issue was resolved very quickly.
I would recommend the Brother MFC-255CW multifunction printer to anyone who has a home office that does not do a tremendous amount of printing. The quality of the images are great but it can be a bit slow depending on image details. Perfect small home office machine.
