Canon Pixma MP250 All In One Color Inkjet Photo Printer Review

Canon Pixma MP250
I have a Canon Pixma MP250 inkjet printer. I am from Denver, Colorado. I have to start off by explaining that I did not pay very much for this printer when I got it about 3 years ago. I got it from in store Wal-Mart due to an older printer breaking and needed a new machine right away.
For simple printing and copying the Canon Pixma MP250 is great. It actually prints black or color pretty fast (once it gets warmed up). It is supposed to have a scan function that after 3 years I still can't figure out. The Canon Pixma MP250 will scan the document and create a file. Yet when I go to the file it will not open.
I am used to being able to scan and change or manipulate a document with ease. But not with this printer. It is also supposed to be great for photos and printing them. The print quality of the photos are the worst I have ever seen from a Canon.
The positive side to this machine is the paper is very easy to load as well the ink cartridges are easy to replace. Although it uses ink faster than other printers I have owned, the ink is not very expensive to purchase. It has a self alignment page that it prints that you place on the screen and the printer sets the alignment for you instead of straining to see which line grid is the clearest and inputting your best guess.
It was very easy to install and connect the Canon Pixma MP250 to my computer. It only took a matter of minutes. The only thing I did not like about the install is it placed six icons onto the desktop. I don't know maybe this is normal but I doubt it. The last thing that I forgot to mention is that it does not support any memory cards at all. Bottom line is if you need a basic printer quick and cheap this could be the one to buy.
