I am from Virginia Beach and the printer that I use most often for my home use and for schoolwork is an HP Deskjet F4480. I don’t think they retail for a very high price, so it’s very affordable, but I received my printer in conjunction with a purchase of a laptop from my university.

It was a special they were doing, and it was one of the extras that came with it. The HP Deskjet F4480 printer is really user-friendly, and the instructions included in the box were really useful in making the setup of the printer quick and easy. If I remember correctly, when I got my laptop and this printer back to my apartment, it took me about five minutes to get everything plugged in, working, and ready to print.

In some printers, you have to open a lot of different doors and compartments to put paper in and to put the ink cartridges in, but with this HP Deskjet F4480 printer, there is just a tray on the outside of it for the paper, and one easy to open hatch for the ink. When the hatch is opened, the things that hold the actual cartridges slide to an easy to reach spot, allowing the cartridges to be put in or taken out.

Printer ink in general is a bit expensive, but the HP ink for this printer is comparably well priced. I got this machine my sophomore year of university, and I’m currently finishing my senior year, and the printer is still going strong.

I would definitely recommend this HP Deskjet F4480 for students or for home use. It’s really light to carry, and easy to use. It also has the capability to scan and copy as well as printing.

One of the only problems I have with it is that when the ink is running low, it takes a bit longer to print. Also, every time you change the ink cartridges, it prints out a test page, which is fine, but it’s a waste of paper.
