Kodak ESP 6150
I bought a Kodak ESP 6150
last month at my local Office Depot store. It's normally $199 but they had a sale for $149 and I had coupons on top of that, so it was a really good deal. I've been very happy with it so far.
The quality of the photo printing is phenomenal. The ESP 6150 printer was really easy to set up, the CD that came with it did pretty much all the work and it detected my wireless router right away. There was a lot of tape and unpacking, but it all came in one piece, no scratches or anything so I suppose the extra work was worth it.
I love that it's a smaller sized printer that still does double-sided printing. It's saved me paper and time being able to print my documents straight into double-sided format. I wish it had a memory card slot since it is designed for pictures and I imagine it would be nice to just print straight from the digital camera or memory card itself.
That said, I've had no problem and it's probably not much slower just putting the memory card into my laptop and clicking print from there. I'm using it wirelessly, but there is a choice of using it with a USB cable or with ethernet networking.
Replacing the ink cartridges is fairly simple, and the ink is inexpensive. I find the cartridges don't last as long as my old HP printer's did, but it's still cheaper per page, since it's only $10 for the black and $20 for the color.
The Office ESP 6150 prints really quickly, especially if you're just doing documents or making copies. I think the scanner is a bit slow, sometimes it seems like it's lagging, but overall I can get my copies made and documents printed really quickly and with the wireless I don't even have to plug it in.
I've been using it for about 6 weeks now, not long enough to show any signs of wear, but I use it every weekday at least and have been impressed with the quality of print and how easy it was to set up and use.
